About Kilwa Beach Lodge Toggle

Three generations of the Henderson family; including several members have been involved with this beautiful lodge and with tourism in Kilwa Masoko and Tanzania in East Africa for the last 30 years.

The beach was a family run coconut plantation for many years and was then built as a base and campsite for an overland safari company called Kilwa Safari.Guests traveled throughout Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique and camped for a week on the deserted Masoko Pwani.

The campsite was upgraded in 2012 and the name changed from Kilwa Safari to Kilwa Beach Lodge. Many of the staff working at the lodge have worked with the owners for over 10 years and we really are one big family.
